Said No one ever! That’s why the guys running Baja run 40s and not 33s .
Yep, need to justify that cosmetic look. It’s all about “ the look “ . The sweet spot is 35’s. Speed, durability, dependability, flexibility, frame strength, and WHEEL TRAVEL.

The 37 package is overkill. Unless you have a particular need or use for the extra ground clearance, the 37 package is really not “ better”. The 35 package is faster, lighter, and allows for more wheel travel. Most people are buying the 37 package strictly for looks and bragging rights, when in reality once the R is officially released the 35 and 37 package will be worth the same on the used market. The other fact a lot of people don’t realize is that for desert racing, which is what the raptor is really intended for use wise, the 35 is the better choice = lighter and allows you more wheel travel.
I personally went for the 37 package mainly for the looks and ride quality(most of the reviews I’ve watched and read say the 37 ride quality is much better), I honestly don’t care for bragging rights…I like the wheel/tire combo and I don’t think most of us on here are taking our trucks to Baja races every weekend. I do some light off roading, camping, skiing, fishing etc. and like to have a truck that’s capable off road and makes a great daily driver. We throw our gear/tools into the bed and follow the open road!
The 35 is a great looking truck don’t get me wrong, however with the upgraded wheels and suspension upgrades for me it was a good decision. BTW, to make it clear I haven’t picked mine up yet…still waiting.
So I wouldn’t say it’s overkill if that’s what I like.

Just my two cents

Congrats twice over! Two good looking machines and in somewhat different flavors. Let the mods begin. Enjoy them.
