Twisted Seatbelt

My youngest told me that the rear driver seatbelt was twisted when we were leaving the house the other day. Pulled over thinking he was just having trouble untwisting it but that wasn't the case. No matter what I try either the lap part or the shoulder part have a twist. It didn't use to be like that but I can't figure out how it got this way or how to untwist it. I have 2019 with the airbag seatbelts so the option to just twist the belt in the buckle isn't an option. Any ideas?

You can try your luck with pulling the belt out manually...depending on where the kink is. IMO the shroud surrounding the belt extender causes the belt to bunch / twist up if not guided by hand and is an overall horrible design.

Have had a few like this, was able to bend it over and slide it back into the correct location.
