It's really nice being able to start my Raptor R without waking up my kids/wife and keep it quiet when I tow. The TRX is like the R in sport mode all the time. TRX is wayyyy better sounding than my R but it is great being able to choose when my truck is loud.
The fam still prolly wakes up and you tow with an R?!

Good. They are tired of seeing all the internet millionaires buying all the raptor r’s. I’m sure it was assumed that ford would end the R soon also…..now they want back in the game.

Haha quiet mode is surprisingly really quiet. I tow rzr lol. Not exactly a heavy load.

Honestly, a “quiet mode” for long highway trips wouldn’t be terrible. But screw the neighbors - LOL!

The loudest thing on my TRX was the stock tires just before I replaced them at 36,000 miles. Getting rid of those made a huge difference. The exhaust is still noticeable, but not bad.

Neighbors I don’t care about as much as my kids/wife. Miss my TRX exhaust for sure but the R ain’t half bad especially since I took out the last resonators.

I had 3 TRXs and loved every bit of them. When you ordered through a few of the volume dealers, you'd typically be able to secure below invoice pricing, but when they started raising the base price you couldn't even buy a base model for the price of a level 1 truck for the year prior. Im hoping Ram learned their lesson from their crazy price hikes. I could careless if it'll beat an R off the line. Whats more important is take what they've learned from the first generation and improve upon it. Brakes were awful and I warped mine in 6k miles. I never took the truck offroad to justify better shocks/valving but Ill take the word of those who have, this shouldn't be a difficult process. The tech is already in the new 1500s and RHO's but they need to fix the CV boot issue as well. Typically first generation problems and definitely, typical Ram problems. All that said, Im sticking with my plan for a Gen 1 raptor. The amount of truck you get for the price point, especially with a whipple, is unmatched.
