It would be foolish to post details until it’s settled. I’ve see crazier things that an insurance inspector check out the web site.

Totally all up to the insurance company. They have the final say in whether if they want to total it or worth fixing it. I know a member on here had a roll over and insurance company wanted to fix.

This. If your insurance company states that the vehicle isn't totaled you would need to speak with them for how you could refute the claim and get it totaled. You would probably have to get a 2nd quote that demonstrates that the original quote would not adequately repair the vehicle. Really though, I don't think that would help much. The service company has a vested interest in giving an honest quote so they can continue doing business with the insurance company.
