I just shipped 2 vehicles using this company: https://www.dealerschoiceautotransport.com

They're a broker, not a shipper. But they only work with specific shippers. Both the broker and the shipper they use are insured so you're doubly covered. I've got a 3rd vehicle I'll hopefully be receiving this month and plan to use them again.

So after Town East Ford threw you a curveball with that ridiculous markup, what dealer did you end up buying from? Hopefully this new dealer is treating you better than the previous sleezebags!

I used these guys to ship my truck from ND to WA state. Good customer service and responsiveness.

Don’t ship it!!! I’ve regretted both times. Both times damages to body and glass. I wouldn’t trust a shipper with 100k truck unless I’m driving with them. Fly to it and drive it home.
Exactly what I would do and did with mine. Mine was only 8 hrs. away but still.

In my experience, you're mostly going to come across brokers out there. Each broker uses the same program to put in a bid for a company to pick up your vehicle to be delivered. Sure, there are companies out there who are privately ran and will pick up your cars personally, but those are probably going to be a high premium unless you get lucky that they happen to be passing by where your truck is located and where you are located.
