GEN 2 Truck Order Discussion

Mine showed up at the dealership Monday. Picked it up yesterday. 103 days from order to delivery. Ended up getting under MSRP with the maintenance package and the Ford Retrax bed cover thrown in.

What are your thoughts on the Recaro seats/blue accent package?

I ordered a magnetic SCAB 800a package on 1/11/19. Truck was built week of 2/18/19. "Awaiting Shipment" posted on 2/21/19. Everything was going much quicker than expected...Life was good. Estimated delivery 3/7/19, according to shop.ford.com intel. The dealer said my truck would likely arrive on Monday, 3/11/19. So, in anticipation of the delivery, I arranged to sell my Gen 1 Raptor to a lucky guy on Tuesday 3/12/19. He was traveling from out of state to pick it up. I also ordered and received a pile of accessories that would be waiting to put on the truck. All the pieces were falling into place.
Well, ETA came and went. Called the dealer on Monday, and they said the truck was sitting at the Jessup, MD rail yard waiting for vehicle transport. They also said it wouldn't be loaded for delivery until there were enough vehicles to fill the transporter for deliveries to dealerships in my area. I asked how long that typically takes, dealer didn't give me a straight answer....frustrating. Now shop.ford.com shows estimated delivery 22 days out, ugh. How does this work?

What are your thoughts on the Recaro seats/blue accent package?

I love them. Plenty of support and bolstering at the smaller part of my back at my hips. I just noticed yesterday that there is a Recaro tag on the seat. I was told when mine was waiting to be built the recaro’s os why my truck was passed up twice to be built. Now that’s from my salesman, but we are pretty close and he has no reason to lie to me.

I wouldn't rely on Ford Tracker anymore for your truck. It seems that they lose track of them once they get off the rail. Mine showed 10 days to delivery when the dealer called. It will be there soon.

My tracker for checking the boxes never checked the box for being shipped. My delivery counter started after the box was checked for built. It said 26days and counted down. It went from 26 to 14 the next day and then to 10. It was then delivered in 9 and never updated. I knew where it was by talking to Ford performance on chat and my dealer.

Just picked up my truck on Friday. It was well worth the wait!

The tracker no longer recognized my VIN about three weeks before it was actually delivered. Never checked off the in transit step beforehand.

Once the tracker no longer worked, I just called Ford Performance once a week and they were able to provide updates to the point where it was at the local rail yard prior to getting delivered to the dealer.

Picked up my Magnetic SCAB 802A w/Beadlock and CF on Thursday. It is so fun to drive that it must be illegal

Picked up my Raptor today. Driving it back from KC to Denver. I love the interior
