Hello everyone. Fairly new to owning my raptor I’ve had it for a year. Have a rebuilt transmission with 10k in it. Recently went off roading and just about the last couple turns the trans oil gauge shot up near the yellow and red area for its temperature, it came back down fairly quick once I stopped. I let the truck idle for about another 5 min. Got back on the road and went home with no problem. It drove fine later that night also with no funny shifts completely normal. My question is it normal for the gauge to bounce from low to near high? Thanks in advance!

theres a valve in the transmission that opens at a certain temp to allow fluid from the cooler to the trans. maybe it got stuck.
Cool thank you. Is there any chance you might have a photo of where exactly to look at or is this an internal valve that I need to look into?
