Transmission gear display

My gear display in the dashboard not showing which gear I'm in is there a trick to getting it to come on ?

On the shifter click the +

Its a annoying Ford Feature, that you paid big bucks for.

Hit the +shifter to turn it on and -shifter to turn off.

Yes, in D-drive just hit the + button on the left side of the console shifter and the 10-gear display will light by the tachometer. In M-manual mode just touch either of the magnesium paddle shifters and the display will engage in my favorite race truck !!
