The 22 model is new 18 months later in 23 model years, a lot of those bugs have been worked out as you would expect from a new model.

I have no regrets going from my gen2 Raptor to a hybrid Limited TRD offroad, almost 600 foot pounds of torque and it is quicker off the line than a Raptor. It's tech is light years beyond the gen 3 raptor, front cameras, rear side cameras all angles and a huge tablet screen. Not to mention the digital rear view mirror. An actual locking fuel door with a gas cap. What a novel idea? A 4x4 almost full size truck getting 19-22 mpgs doesn't exactly suck. Granted I didn't get the pro but I didn't like the pro and you can get certain models and build the Tundra like you want. The JBL system is 10 times better then the best Sony systems, which were better than the B&O junk Ford has been using for years. These are the things it does well.

However, it is NOT a balls to the wall hard core Baja offroad truck like the Raptor. Raptors are tough and built strong as has been said best of the best and best in class. Ford F150s have roughly 55 percent domestic content while the Tundra has 65 percent and are made in Texas. It is more of an American truck than Mexican produced rams or GMs which source a lot of their parts from China. You made the best decision for you but I can see why it would appeal to you. Toyota offers a more positive ownership experience compared to ford as well.

And best yet your not supporting the UAW which I imagine would make most of you all upset since they helped get the current administration into office.

Wrong..

Maybe things will be different when the 23 list is compiled.. until then no need to spew misinformation about a Toyota being more American... closing plants to avoid unionization is also a great strategy..

LoL, might want to check who's policies are destroying what and what unions support which political administration?

The pay at the Toyota plant is inline with what they pay and plus they don't have to pay union dues so they might could make more money. They just don't get temination protection for lazy employees who mess up their quality control. My 23 truck had 5 miles on it when I picked it up, now that is confidence in your product.

Toyota has been in Texas since 2006 and have produced the Tundra and Sequioa there since the beginning. It is not misinformation on parts content each manufacturer lists it on their window stickers.

The Tundra is made to go many hundreds of thousand of miles just like the F150. If you haven't been in one or driven one then I doubt you would know what it is like. They are nice trucks and the redesign is very popular especially in TSS spec.

So you got rid of your Gen 2 Raptor for a POS TuRdRa? The reviews have consistently stated that the new Tundras interior is full of cheap plastic, never mind the fact that they still use blanked off switches because they’re too cheap to make multiple panels for each configuration.

As far as MPG, you can’t compare a Hybrid 1/2 ton to a Raptor, or any other off road truck on 35” tires. The Hybrid F-150 PowerBoost gets 24MPG combined, and includes on board generator functionality. Something Toyota doesn’t offer at any price.

Raptor is also faster that the hybrid tundra 0-60, so your claim about “faster off the line” is not true.

Wrong. F-150 has more domestic content than tundra. You realize Toyota builds Tacomas in Mexico, right? Vehicles are defined by manufacturer country of origin, stop spreading Toyota propaganda claiming a foreign manufacturer is “American” whatsoever. That’s called carpet bagging, and obviously you bought right into it.
And best yet your not supporting the UAW which I imagine would make most of you all upset since they helped get the current administration into office.
Yea, why would we want to support high wage middle class jobs with best in industry benefits and $10,000 profit sharing bonuses per employee when we can support Toyota’s minimum wage contract labor with no profit sharing and poor benefits. The UAW has had their issues but not supposing good jobs for your fellow Americans because of a preconceived bias is ridiculous.

Wrong again. Foreign automakers established their plants in the South so that they could avoid unions and the competitive wages, benefits, and profit sharing that go with them. The fact that you think Union dues offset $10,000 profit sharing bonuses just proves how out of touch you really are.

You need to take a basic economics class before you make any more ridiculous statements.

I’ve driven the previous generation and they’re junk. Fisher price grade interior, slow, thirsty, hideous, uncompetitive. The new Tundra debuted as worst in class with the smallest interior, lower hybrid fuel economy than F-150, no onboard power, no full time 4WD even on the highest models. It’s not even class competitive.

But hey, thanks for making Japan great again!

Yeah well, you just explained your stance in that one. The F150 is a good truck but your facts about the Tundra are misguided and wrong. Whatever, I turned down a MSRP Gen 3 deal to get into the Tundra so I wouldn't call it a rash decision.

as far as the rest, do unskilled labor workers deserve 25 bucks an hour? Guess in your world they do but the UAW through all its corruption scandals has done nothing but basically shut down factories and force jobs to go to as you said Mexico. At least Toyota's plant has incentives and bonuses for quality control and metrics. I have less noise and plastic in my Truck than the new F150, the only thing it doesn't have is the Powerboost which is a great option. I said Ford is the best in class and deserving of their rating but the Tundra's tech and sound systems are light years ahead of Ford. Hence why the OP discussed being impressed by them. The new 3rd gen Tundra is impressive. I love mine and having a lot better resell value is important to me as well. I don't have 40-50k to loose through 5 years of Raptor ownership.

Well that’s your loss, you bought a product that is inferior in every regard. Thanks for your support of a foreign company over American workers.

They pay Walmart wages and throw in low “bonuses” to make workers feel like they’re getting less screwed. You clearly no nothing about unions; no factories are being “shut down”, in fact Ford is building a massive new manufacturing campus in Tenessee and adding 11,000+ new jobs. Toyota is building a subpar product by exploiting American labor and hauling billions in profit out of this county, at which point they use the exchange rate to unethically rake in even more profit.

But you support that, right?

Funny how all of the reviews disagree with everything you just stated. You were the guy who claimed you used to drive your Subaru under water…enough said on that.

As far as resale value, Raptor is has higher resale than any Toyota product. And nobody is losing “40-50k” in resale on a 5 year old Raptor, mine is 4 years old and I can almost get what I paid for it. Why are you so brainwashed by foreign companies? You need to wake up and stop believing propaganda.
