Honestly, I'd buy a trailer. I've been hauling my truck on a 20Ft PJ B5. ( 102" wide, 12K jack, rear ramps, wood deck, 7K lb axles, G rated tires.

I'm going to upgrade sometime soon, as I've modified the weight balance on my truck enough that the 20Ft is too short for me to load the tongue weight on the heavy side. ( for towing at 80-85mph).

A 20 ft trailer with a pair of spares is the perfect size for a screw raptor.

I think I'm going to move to a 28Ft trailer so I can get a SxS on it too.

Can you load the Raptor backwards to get weight off the hitch?

Someone asked for a front end shot. I left one tow pin in and took one out to show how it looks. The trailer vs flat tow debate all depends on the need. Having traveled the last 3 years on the road and stayed at many RV parks/campgrounds there is no way a trailer would be easy to work with. Sites too small, no where to store the trailer, etc.

Thanks guys. Doesn’t look as good as the tow hooks there. Lol
I agree. I think we could weld the tow hooks to an extra set of inserts for the new receivers and have a similar to OEM look with the same functionality. Then, when you’re ready to tow, those come off and the tow bar set goes in. Probably not much of an investment either. Just a little welding, grinding, and painting. Might be a fun weekend project. When the weather warms up I’ll see if I have the pieces to give it a shot.

@Don S did it here. He did a nice job and the fold down license plate holder is a nice touch too.

Do those pins stay in and protrude from the bumper all the time? I'd hate for such a nice looking truck to have those sticking out always. Could I set up to use D ring mounts on an aftermarket bumper by any chance? does anyone have more pictures of the front of your truck when not being towed?

I set up both our Wrangler and our Raptor for towing behind our motorhome. They're both easy to tow and, as long as you're comfortably within the tow weight limits of the vehicle doing the pulling, the Raptor doesn't care what's pulling it.

I use a Roadmaster tow bar. I installed the Raptor-custom tow attachments sold on eTrailer. (They replace the factory tow loops. I welded the original tow-loops to Roadmaster male fittings, so I could remount the tow loops. The Raptor looks close to stock when it's not set up to be towed.

The braking system in both of my towed vehicles is the "Air Force One", which requires the RV to have air brakes. There are several other good options that are easier to move from vehicle to vehicle.

Here’s what the Raptor looks like with the tow loops welded to the male ends to fit the Roadmaster receivers. I’ve picture of the finished installation is another members truck, but I did basically the same thing, making the stinger as short as possible while still retaining the locking pin feature.

I used the Maximus-3 tow loops on my Wrangler. I don’t see any reason why similar loops couldn’t be fabbed up for the Raptor. It would be the same as the set up shown above on the Raptor side, with a 3/4” tow loop in place of the Roadmaster receiver for the stinger.
