Thanks! Yeh, can't really do a weight distribution setup on a boat like you can with a camper...at least I don't think so. Nice setup! Did you ever consider a f250 tremor?
I got the horse before the carriage, so we were limited. If I’d known better would have gotten something built for towing, but I couldn’t get rid of the raptor.

There are a couple towing threads going and I am looking for as much experienced feedback as possible. I just ordered a 2500 pound Polaris Ranger 1000 North Star and a 1200 pound aluminum duel axel trailer. With my wife dogs guns and smart cap, my payload is about 1000 pounds. Will my Raptor 37 have any issues towing?

Sounds like you will definitely be pushing the payload. I'm no trailer expert but I think you are looking at 4700lb on trailer...so that's approx 470lb of tongue weight. So add that to your payload of 1000 and that puts you at 1470lbs which is over the payload of a raptor.

I tow a 21' Thunderjet Alexis on a tandem axle trailer with my Gen 2 for local tows, 5 miles to the river, or 40 miles to the lake. The boat weighs about 4500 lbs, plus gear and the trailer. The Raptor handles it just fine with a little squat. I also have a 2021 F250 SuperDuty 6.7 Tremor that I use for towing equipment trailers that are often 10-15k lbs loaded. The F250 is a much better tow rig for serious towing or very frequent towing, but the Raptor seems to do fine with under 7k lbs and occasional use. Just hauling a relatively light boat on occasion? You are good to go on the Raptor.
appreciate this, just got a Supra SL450 (23.5') which is around 6,000 and have a Gen3 Raptor...came here looking to see what other people were able to pull and the forum did not disappoint

I was going back and forth on which truck to buy as well. We ended up getting a Gen3 37 package in Jan. and the truck pulls our Mastercraft XT 25 with no issues. I have not done anything more than pull the boat from our place in Havasu to the boat ramp about 3-4 miles, but plenty of power and very little squat with the GEN3. I added a JB tune last month for the added torque and for the power around town.

Go raptor if you’re not going to be doing long hauls. Much better ride daily around town.

Thank you! Yeh, doesn't look like you have much squat. Did you do any kind of airbags or anything? Thanks

Yeh I missed this comment. Great help! Have you pulled the boat with both trucks? how do they compare? Sounds like the raptor does fine which is good to hear. Mine does fine as well...I just assumed the f250 would be that much better. But maybe it's not that much of a difference. I assume you like the raptor a lot more for around town stuff?

There is a MAJOR difference between a Raptor and a F250. Even when towing around town.

My old man taught me years ago. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should. I tow my ski boat with the OBS, even when going 2 miles to the lake.

I don't know how much your boat weighs...but the raptor is still rated to tow 8k and 1400 payload...so if you are within those guidelines...then there's nothing to be scared about. I tow with mine all the time and have zero issues. The truck is plenty capable. I was just curious what it's like towing with the f250.... And I wasn't saying there's no diff between the two...if you read my post...I was referring to his boat which is 4500lbs and how the two trucks compare when towing it. Obviously there's a massive difference between the two in general. But I do feel that some short change the raptor's towing capability...it's not a wrangler we're talking about. There's plenty of comments of raptor owners towing their big boats with no issues. I think my problem is just superficial...have had the same truck for 5 years and kinda want something different, but deep down I know the raptor is still the best truck for me ha. Just wish they would update the interior a little more. Still an awesome truck though. I did read something about a possible F200 coming...which would be interesting...towing capability closer to a superduty but in a 1/2 ton size...

I not an expert, but after speaking with a buddy on CHP MAIT, attached is how I responded on another thread regarding towing. I think Nex said it best, just because you can, doesn’t mean you should!
