Towing a boat with a brand new Raptor?

My dilemma:

I pick up my new Raptor tomorrow morning from the dealership.
Tomorrow afternoon I leave for a short vacation at a river cabin only 75 miles from my house. I am bringing my 19 foot Key West Sportsman boat so that I can do some fishing, visit a couple of the springs in the area and pull the kids around on a tube. I really would like to bring my Raptor but my gut tells me that iI shouldn't tow untill after the break in period. I have heard that the break in period is more for the transmission than the motor and it seems to me that towing a boat during that time may be detrimental. The boat, motor, trailer and gas will weigh approximately 3000 lbs. What do y'all think?

3k LBS is really nothing. I would tow it. Its a short drive and down here in FL its all flat anyways. Yo have nothing to worry about.

To protect the transmission, I'd take it very easy.

Owners manual states not to tow the first 1000 miles if I recall. Short distance and all flat might not be a big deal, personally I wouldn't but I offer no useful information.

Warranty is against defects, not for willfully ignoring very specific warnings about towing the first 1000 miles.

Towing a 3k pound load that has pretty much zero wind resistance 75 miles on flat land is not going to damage anything or the warranty. Hell you do not even need to press the tow/haul mode on the transmission with that light load. Long as you are not trying to drag race with it (should not be even with out the trailer for the first few hundred miles) you will not even know the boat is behind you.

Now pulling a double axel enclosed trailer that weights 7K+ for a long haul is different.

I have towed with nearly every truck I have bought new within the first 500 miles. Some I have towed within the first hundred miles. They were all trailers a lot heavier than three thousand pounds. I think the soonest I replaced a transmission was at 90,000 miles in a 93 f150, but I was frequently towing a trailer that weighed about 7000lbs. I am talking 75% of the time.

I would not worry a minute about it,
