Anyone here changed over to the larger towing style mirrors? From what I've seen there's a couple places offering heated, power adjust, power folding, and signal styles that are plug and play. Haven't seen any yet that had the auto-dimming as well. I would hate to potentially give up the sequential signals as well.

I contemplated the tow mirrors when I first got my Raptor, now when I think about it I'm more glad that I didn't although it would be unique. I fold the mirrors in several times a day and I'm blown away at how well the factory mirrors have held up. I have wondered if the factory tow mirrors would stand up to being folded every time I park even on quick stops.

I don't fold mine a ton, but enough that I wouldn't wanna live without the power feature.

Alright, I think I finally have this figured out for the 13-14 guys. I was able to find someone who installed the towing mirrors that are power adjust, heated, memory, power fold, and power telescoping. Originally I hadn't found anyone who had retrofitted the puddle lamps to a set and then found the below thread where they used a universal set. The towing mirrors don't have the option for a puddle lamp, and they also don't have the option for the auto-dim, so you will lose that one for sure, but at least have that option for the puddle lamp. Here's the list of parts (supposedly the stock mirror switch should work, but one guy had an issue with using the one that came with his truck):

Mirror pair:

Paint to match skull caps:

Sequential signals:

Puddle lights:

Mirror switch:

Telescoping switch:

Mirror switch bezel:

Pigtail for telescoping switch:

Crimp connectors for pigtail:

You'll also need a bunch of misc. crimp connectors, wiring, tape, etc. but that is all available locally. It's a pretty involved project, but the outcome looks like a factory install basically. I'll be starting to get all my parts together for this soon.

And the link to the installation instructions:

Putting this project on hold for now since the truck is in storage for the winter. Once it gets closer to the time the truck comes back out I'll put the order in for the parts and update the thread as I complete the install!

Figured I'd update this if anyone else was curious. Decided not to go through with this project after looking at a few other F-150's with this setup. Although I do like that you get some better visibility while towing to see around the truck, the mirrors just don't match the styling of the truck well and look pretty out of place IMO.

In case you change your mind, I installed these mirrors offered by Ford. They are the best tow mirrors I have used. I think they look great on my 2014 Raptor. Looks like they are available for $380 for the pair. I installed, easy to do.

Do you have any pictures of them installed? If I were to do the conversion I want to set it up so they will power telescope as well.
