If it were me, I wouldn't take advice from a bunch of hoons on the internet, I'd talk to the tuner I was planning to use and ask them.

Advice we’ll received. Will carefully sift the responses and of course talk with the tuner. Any recommendations on runners. I am aware of Goose and MPT. Any others you care to add?

I've been considering a tune for months but finally decided not to because of warranty, I'm a chicken, but I read a lot and have never seen a bad word about Goosetuned.

Based on what I have seen, as my internet Raptor genius brother hoons have mentioned, aftermarket leafs and/or KHC torque arm to help with the rear if you want to throw more power back there.

I have goosetuned stage 2 with cobb CAI and AMS down tubes. Not even sure the latter is needed. But it’s pretty impressive. I don’t need more. Try an E50 tune. Easy to switch back and forth and the truck is an animal on E50.

If I was to do any other mod, it would be to address wheel hop/axle wrap. But I find with new tires and kept in 4a it’s manageable.

If memory serves, there’s a member with a torque arm for sale in the classified section now, would save a few pennies and delay.

A tune will get you some extra power for sure, but I don’t know how well the tuned trucks are going to hold up over the upcoming years - none of us do when we make that decision. Some of the gains posted are pretty significant and of course if you’re not into the throttle all the way all the time, you’ll likely be fine. OTOH, if you’re off roading a lot and may find yourself where super unleaded isn’t available, you’re going to need the immediate ability to step the tune down, remove or have a tune that maintains the truck’s ability to pull timing for lower octane.

I’m glad I did the t/a when I did. I’ve got a cr@p ton of sand on my property and I’ve done the beach both with and without the torque arm. It’s a night and day difference, because even in 4h, once the rear begins losing traction, grabs again the whole axle begins to ‘relocate’ itself by hopping and wrapping. On the street it was less noticeable in 4a, but before and after I installed the torque arm I video’d a pair of full throttle take offs in 2h. The videos didn’t show much of anything, camera was in the cab. The take off was much improved after the install. 2 launches before on dry pavement were dramatic, lots of steering correction - think 80’s 302 Mustang LX/GT.
After the install, launches were straight, true, minimal correction and rhythmic thumping as the truck struggled for traction.

There are a few guys here with traction bars as well and I think they’re every bit as effective, maybe more.

I would recommend GooseTune as well. Stage 1 made a big difference for. If you decide on Leaf Springs, go Deaver the Icons are junk.

Honestly we may think there are a ton of mods for the Raptor, there really is not in my opinion compared to cars.

1. Tune
2. Wheels/tires
3. Lights
4. CORSA XTREME exhaust

After that is just fun stuff because the truck is already ****....

Have mpt 93 tune with and without trans tune runs best with trans tune but wifey don’t like it have ams inlet tubes, exhaust , 170 thermostat, temp is 170-180 now not 215 have to put that in tune also have hiflo filter not CAI , runs like a beast
