***EDIT: What are your favorite mods, ones that you really like or are really glad you did?
***

Hey guys, sorry if I missed this in the search, but is there any thread for like the top 10 best / most common mods? Ones that are relatively easy to do (without reading through 100+ page threads), Almost like 'low hanging fruit' kinds of mods that make the truck more enjoyable or add nice features? **What are your favorite mods you're glad you did and would highly recommend doing to others?**

On one of the other forums I was on they had something like this Stickied at the top of the forum and a rating for the complexity of each. There anything like that here? Or if not, maybe even an inventory list somewhere?

So far one kind of neat one Ive found is the Tailgate Drop Switch (for 802As)

I don’t understand the need to use a switch up just to drop the tailgate when there is one on the key fob.

Same here. Perhaps if it could close remotely as well but i don't see why i'd waste our limited upfitters on something on the key fob already.

I haven't seen any top 10 list or inventory of all possibly mods with any sort of usefulness or difficulty rating to it. From my limited experience here on this site, it would be rather difficult to get any really consensus on ranking mods. An inventory list might be possible if someone want to put forth the effort.

I think part of the reason a ranking is going to be difficult is that the truck is very versatile, and priorities are going to vary greatly depending on how you intend to use the truck. You can mod the truck for offroad performance on various terrains, or for overall power/speed on the road, towing, or for interior comfort and utility, to protect the paint, or just aesthetics and personal preferences.

The first mod I did was a stubby antenna, since I have to park in a garage on a regular basis. That's cheap and easy, but practically useless to anyone who's truck never sees a a garage.

I'd recommend not rushing into anything. Spend the time to look at a variety of mods mentioned here, from a variety of vendors. Learn what you can and figure out what matters to you. Place your own value on a mod, what you feel comfortable doing yourself, and what might void your warranty.

For whatever it’s worth, I use mine a a daily, and take it off road a little, and do some towing and hauling. Here is my list so far:

Whipple IC and CAI

JDM tune (including SP-550 plugs gapped to .028)

Catch can system (Radium Dual with petcock drain)

Baja Designs S8 light bar behind the grille

Baja Designs XL80 A Pillar lights

GJ Third brake light with S2 Pro ambers and white center

Krazy House Customs torque arm

Forscan coding

Stubby antenna

Window tint (Prestige Spectra PhotoSync IRD)

PPF (Prestige ClearGuard Nano)

Ceramic coat (Modesta BC-04 Nano-Titanium Glass)

EDIT: Just got the Revolver X4 from nick@apollooptics

I also plan to get the Anderson composites CF top and side vents, because I’m a straight up carbon fiber *****.

FORSCAN -- will let you do a bunch of neat stuff; temp readings over gauges, minor tweaks to the 8” display, auto-fold mirrors, etc.

Tunes. Raptor and F150 stereo in general sucks. Huge. the sound is muddy and imprecise. on the ’15-’17 Sony it was a little easier and cheaper to mod, b&o is much pricier to upgrade. That said, about ... what? $2k give or take should get you a much more accurate and precise sound, loud enough that you can make out low volume rhythm or choral sections with the windows down at highway speed.

Fog light kits for the bumper cut outs. Lots of options here and lots of supporting vendors to help out.

Traction bars or torque arm ( group buy for the torque arm ends today, see link below.)
The Rap suffers from huge wheel hop / axle twist.

Tune or pedal commander if you don’t want to risk the warranty. pedal commander just ups the throttle signal to make the truck think you’re feeding more throttle. Makes the acceleration vs. throttle input a bit more linear.

Off road gear. if you think you have enough, you don’t.

Thanks for the feedback, lots of good points. Sounds like the better question would be better geared towards what people's favorite mods are. Edited initial post.

Pedal commander; get one used, they’re way overpriced new. easy to offload here if you go to a tune.

Stereo. go big.
