Craftsman for non-mechanical (no moving parts) hand tools.
J.H. Williams & Blue-Point (equivalent of Snap-On) for mechanical (moving parts) hand tools.
I've also had great results with BAHCO blades in Search and Rescue, and GearWrench for torque wrenches.
Heard good things about Milwaukee, not much personal experience.

I have been beating the hell out of a 14.4 volt milwaukee drill for years at work. So much so this is my perfered cordless tool of choice. I have there 18 volt stuff for personal. Drill sawzall inpact. Wife has the smaller 12 volt stuff. And its all inpressed the hell out of me. I want to get a 3/8 inpact from them thats next.
