Hmm...I get ZERO water in my bed with the bakflip F1. And, about drilling the holes, I drilled mine through the plastic grommets in the bed. I'm sure those can be had for very little money assuming they needed to be replaced to stock.

I used a power sprayer a couple times a week to rinse off my truck (damn tux black!!!!) and even with a power sprayer I've seen no water in the back.

I did buy and install some weather stripping between the rails and the bed. Maybe that was the difference? In any case, dry as a bone and I have electronic equipment back there a lot for work.

I did some research as well and I didn't want to lose any bed space, so I went with the F1. I'm not a fan of the bakbox. I couldn't get it to stay in the rails without modding it.

Thanks for all the input everyone. Next to the F1 I think the leer looks pretty awesome and I had never considered it. Not sure if its worth the extra price though. But I think its between the leer and the bak flip now. The only thing i didn't like about sliding or electric ones are i have heard they are very noisy when driving around.

The 700 I've got is better looking than their stock pics, I think. The raised part matches the Raptor hood. Can post some pics tomorrow if that would help.

Which color is your Raptor?

the undercover SE is extremely easy to take on and off, and is the most water resistant cover i sell. i sell roll and lock, access, extang, undercover, bakflip and others. i like the extang solid fold for a folding cover just due to the fact that its durable, and comes off in about 30 seconds. the undercovers are great hard covers, roll and lock are the only hard roll ups i deal with anymore, and access and extang make good soft roll-ups. if you are worried about the tailgate area, access cover makes a "trail seal" tailgate gasket which is nothing more than about 10ft of weatherstripping and you cut it to fit your truck. it works well.

Apologies if this question has been asked, but I am curious if anyone has noticed an improvement in MPG after installing a cover (reducing drag)?
