Next up, stainless steel brake lines. I'll try anything, the stock Raptor brakes suck.

Yeah, I have to get the shop to make another set of fake caliper covers and slotted rotor stickers so I can hang with the cool kids who refuse to walk away

They probably sell "Raptor" decals on EBay. Might really set her off. #BajaFraud

So we'll ignore reading and math, got it

Here's my stock setup

Can I use the cool guy sunglasses emoji now, or does that make it awkward

Legit brakes right there! Nice look. Plan on doing the same for the raptor?

Thank you, going to transfer the wheels, brakes and a few other goodies from the old to the new rig

If you really want to crush the wallet, check images of the upcoming Brembo B-M8 and Baer Grizzly calipers ... f huge, takes excess to new limits = pure parts ****

So what BajaFred is saying about panic stops makes sense. I have yet to hear anyone who has offered any evidence or logic to the contrary. However, after a 1500 mile road trip I have to say the "braking process" on the Raptor is substantially underwhelming. It just doesn't feel good. I feel like the amount of pressure you have to put on the pedal at various points of the braking process and at various speeds just isn't intuitive or natural. It's tough to explain, but I can see why these upgraded brakes might be worth it if it gives a more linear, natural feel.

I have Brembos on my other car and the stopping power w/o lock up on it makes your eyes hurt. It feels very predictable and safe when braking and I just don't get anything close to that with the Raptor. I get that one weighs a ton more, but I really expected more.

I ordered the Brembos, I'm used to ceramics on other cars. This will be a welcome upgrade to the truck.

I couldn't have written it better myself. It takes the white knuckle forward weight whoa transfer feeling out of it - now you're just planted, feels like all 4 corners just drop lower rather than just the front end.

I've installed lots of kit between both Brembo and Baer. They will tell you the same about the first panic stop and distances.

Hell, I kept this to myself because I knew my own mind was blown when one of them told me that I might even see slightly longer distances if the upgrade weighs significantly more than stock. It's pure unsprung weight.

Should help.

Ordered these tonight. Can't wait for them to come in and do the install.
The stock brakes just don't feel as good as they did on my Gen1. Ordered the braided lines as well to take any of the sponginess out of the pedal.
There's not much I don't like about the Gen 2 except the brakes. I didn't want to go nuts on a BBK, so this kit seems like the perfect answer.
They look great in your pics. Please post a follow up with your thoughts after you've put some more miles on them.
