Same payment... watch the term of your loan.

I bought a 2014 Roush and it is way faster than my 2011 N/A. I drove a Whipple Charged truck and that truck is way faster than my Roush. So point is if you want a super charger consider a Whipple, if you can just buy one. If the way you're going to get a super charger is to finance, watch the loan term. Good luck... Injection is nice but I'd rather be blown.

How do they compare cost-wise (parts + install). How about warranty considerations?

The Whipple and Roush S/C alone looks to be about the same in cost. The Roush package comes with exhaust, intake, Roush tune, and an option for A/E Headers. The warranty I cannot answer, I assume the Roush is better when it comes to warranty. Listen the Roush is a badass truck. The warranty is covered and approved from Roush so they are super diligent about leaving the performance upgrades alone. Is the one you are considering complete with headers?
If they let you keep all of your mods seems like there is no reason not to pull the trigger.
I live in Colorado also and I would keep the Duratracks as we come into winter.
Hell just do it!

The truck doesn't actually have the package on it yet, so as part of the deal it'd be getting installed at Longmont Ford (since they're the nearest Roush dealer). This wouldn't include the headers though, just the exhaust. I actually don't see a header option. I would also have them leave the decals off since I'm not a fan. Currently I'm educating myself on the warranty situation (as is my dealer).

Go for it. I love my Roush supcharger. I also have a 40" lightbar behind the grill. Everything will fit, but you might have to relocate the charger's cooler with the hidden winch mount. I moved mine up above the lightbar.

Do you have any more detail about this? This is a concern currently. I would be having a dealer install the Roush kit and don't want unexpected surprises. I've never even seen the Roush kit in person, so I'm not sure how it all attaches nor how big the intercooler is.

So, the question is, if I bring in my truck with the SDHQ hidden winch setup, is the dealer going to be able to work around it, or am I in for a world of hurt?

Here's the link to my winch setup thread, with pictures:

I just traded my Roush in at groove ford on Arapahoe rd in centennial. Go test drive mine, it ran VERY well. It was as drive able as stock.
I also had the roush exhaust.
Pm me if you have any questions, I do not think you can say whipples are "way" faster, in fact before I bought my supercharger Galpin, JDM and a couple others said after driving both, stop light to stop light the roush seemed faster. My only complaint is it was too quiet, I would go with a whipple for the whine alone.

Btw, I had an RPG bumper on my last truck and I had to re-fab the lower inter cooler mounts, that may be a concern. If you go look at my old truck you will see...

There's a possibility some new brackets will need to be made. A local machine shop could make them if you or the dealer doesn't have the capability. "Hakuna Matata" as Timon and Pumbaa would put it.

Here's an example of how I did mine:

Ok, I'm about to display some serious ignorance here, so please have patience. THAT is the Roush intercooler mounted towards the top? I thought it was much larger, like nearly the size of your radiator? My Google-Fu must be off, cause I can't seem to find a solid picture on the internet of it.

And for hell's sake, do I properly call it a heat exchanger or an intercooler?

Where did that other (I'm not even sure what it is) tiny radiator looking thing go (oil cooler)? The one you can see in my picture right above my light bar?

There are three inter coolers that roush has offered, a large thin, and more recently a large thick, and a small thick. The one pictured above is the small thick. That looks like you will not have problems. I ran both the large thick and thin, at separate times, and both needed fab work to fit my rpg bumper. You are supposed to be able to run both the large small thick together if you need the cooling, but with an aftermarket bumper that may be hard.

I just went out to grooveford.com and they have pictures of my silver 2013, and a really good picture of the biggest inter cooler. Take a look that should answer some questions.

NOW this all makes sense! I spoke to Roush early this morning and they mirrored what you just said. Looking at that picture makes total sense too. So now I'm in a bind. I really like my setup with my hidden winch and light bar. There's NO way that would work with that large low temp radiator (that's what Roush calls it). Roush said I could run the small one and it would probably be fine - it's what they used to sell with the kit, hence the picture above.

Thoughts? Think I'd be fine with the small one (relocated like above). I find it hard to imagine that the Roush package means no winch in general. Surely some after market bumpers work? That'd be my only other option - some sort of very subtle aftermarket bumper that can house a lightbar AND winch. I'm not sure what that would be though.

Ok, now I get what I'm looking at. You have the old version that used the smaller low-temp radiator. Have you had any heat issues? Apparently the current kit comes with a much larger version, but I could still get the smaller one like yours.

Mine hasn't had any cooling issues as of yet and she's got plenty of on and off road miles.
