Tire Pressure Sensors

Just wanted to share a nice deal that I found.

I put new wheels and tires on my truck but did not want to rob the sensors from the stock setup. I found some on ebay, installed them with the new wheels and tires and after about 25 miles of driving the tire pressure warning on the dash went away.

I guess it takes some time for the computer to adjust and recognize and program the new sensors.

Thought this was a steal for a set of 4. I am in no way affiliated with this seller just wanting to pass on a bargain.

No, when they mounted and balanced the new wheels and tires I drove away, the light came on, by the time I was home it was gone and has never come back on.

Cool! Just wish there was a way to set light to go off at a lower PSI.

I believe that the dealer can program the light to be sensative to a new PSI.

Dont think so, its a set pressure that is set by Ford and by law cannot be set lower. Thats what gave Ford so much problem when the firestone debacle happened...

That sucks. I know the jeep guys can lower theres but I think thats not at the dealership I think its a tuner style fix.

Yep. This was confirmed at SVT (by Jamaal) and Roush..

I know you are wondering why I asked Roush.. They are allowed to go deeper into ECU programming than any other aftermarket tuner.

It was asked at the SVT meeting and they said nope cant be done only way is to write your local congressman and ask them to pass a new law.
