I'm trying to figure out how much taller (height) a 35/1250/17 is versus the factory 315/70/17. I've got about 1.5 inches of clearance when I pull into my garage and am hoping I will still clear it with the 35s.

Thanks.

Which 35x12.50 17s are you looking at? Different brands have different overall heights...although they are minimal.

35's are not typically 35" unless you get an aggressive tread. Each tire is different so you will have to look at the specs or measure personally before you purchase. Even if they are 35" you will only be gaining a 1/4" in height on 1/2" larger diameter tire

Probably something tame, as I do a lot of highway driving. Something like a General Grabber AT2 or similar.
