Finally got my Raptor tinted! Got a killer deal, 1/2 off, since this was my 6th vehicle tinted by Auto Magic, and I repped them on facebook for all the vehicles they've done for me over the years.
Normally I do 15% up front so it matches the rear (and sometimes layer the rear but with 15 up front it still matches if the rears are even darker). But this time around, since it's not a black vehicle for once, I didn't mind not having it matched if it would maybe help ease up on tickets lol. You're not allowed ANY front tint in NJ.
It actually worked out just like I had hoped. THe back is dark enough you can't see inside, so no worries about prying eyes trying to see in if I leave something in the truck (even though I rarely ever do lol). And the front is dark enough that it helps cut a lot of heat and glare, yet doesn't really impact visibility even at night.
From the front looking back it looks dark on the fronts, but from the back looking forward it looks light. I think it's helped so far *knock on wood* since flying down the road you still notice a contrast between the front and back, so less likely to get nabbed for it, than vehicles where the fronts clearly look as dark as the back.
