hi all, i was on here previously looking for a gen 1 raptor but ended up falling through. i have still been checking here and there and this one came up

https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/detail/786822162/overview/

its pretty close by but due to work this week i cant check it out until the weekend. i've asked for detailed pictures of the skid plate, frame, axles/cv boots, shocks, and the body line between the cab and the bed. i've also asked to have them check the AC/heater, all of the windows, and the auto seat adjust.

am i crazy or is this a good deal? anything else i should look for?

any help is appreciated. thanks!

It looks clean and you’re on the right track as far as what you’re looking at. Have them open and close the sunroof a couple times. It will most likely need a shock rebuild at that mileage. IWE’s if you get serious about it pull somewhere and engage 4WD. Check fuse 27 for black shit. Nice truck.

thanks! pardon my ignorance.. where is the fuse 27 located?

Under the hood top middle of the radiator is the fuse box. 27 is known to blow and there is a relocation kit to fuse 70. It’s a 10amp fuse that can leave you stranded. If it’s ready to go you’ll see it charred around the fuse. Easy fix but if caught during the deal could have it done. The sunroof if isn’t used often, the track can blow. Check the steering rack play also. Little things but still. Def a good price on a clean truck.

The empty slot is where fuse 27 used to be, the other slot is where it gets relocated to, #70...

Looks clean. Check it out!

Looks nice but there is a gap in service history from 52,000 miles to 76,000 or so. I'd want to make sure the oil was changed during those 20,000+ miles.....

Looks pretty nice... and I would say a good deal...

but... "Exterior Color: Pale Adobe Metallic" WTF is that... that color is the best color of a Raptor... but its called Terrain

It would be nice to know any history if the shocks were rebuilt
