Well this day was quite eventful. We saw the mission before heading out. Offroad to the salt flats and got up some pretty good speed. Into a small fishing village which by the way is a humbling experience to see how some people live. Then more salt flats at some pretty good speeds. Stopped for lunch at scorpion bay. Then back on the trails on some rocky surfaces. We met a couple in their Toyota land cruiser who was cruising the offroad world, they had a pretty slick setup but the drive it slow. We planned on off-roading all the way to Loreto but was cut short when the lower shock mount broke on the lead truck. We removed it and limped into town. Luckily we found a welder and got it fixed up. We found out there is a gas shortage and protest going on in Mexico. The lines for gas in Loreto was over 4 blocks long because the city was supposed to be out of gas the next two days. We decided to eat first and decide what we were going to do. We decided that Cabo or bust and we were going to get gas. Got to the gas station later that night and luckily we had to only wait about 30 minutes. Off to our room on the beach.
I might add some doubler plates to my shock mounts just because tou had to do that. I have my doubts about ever going to 3.5's and bypass rack
