It doesn't. But visits to the dealer who may decide to re flash my ECU made it seem like the prudent thing to do, to remove the tune I mean.

This is so true, better safe than sorry. I would never take my Raptor to the service dept. at a dealership without first flashing back to stock and not to fool the dealer but rather to keep from being locked out of the tuner.

Yep, google it. Person selling it should of unlocked it, if they had any left. Think you get to do it only 5 times. Or its locked to the other person's VIN and you will most likely have to pay SCT to unlock it for your VIN

Just loaded my SVT tune yesterday in my 2014 with 1700 miles running 87 octane and boy what a deference in performance the truck has now and very happy with it and is very noticeable for those of you that are thinking or looking for a tune. I also want to mention that Jeff from SVT has Top Notch customer service he answer all my questions within minutes of me asking. Can't wait to load the 93 octane tune in a few weeks.

Thanks again Jeff

What do you guys do when you're running 91 octane but can't find it? I travel a lot for work and the place I'm at now is all 89 or 93. Is it bad to switch constantly from 93 to 91 of should I just stick with 93? Not to worried about price difference.

I called Jeff about this. He said the base tune is for 91 or higher. If you use 87 then you need to adjust the spark to -4 and -2 for 89.

Just installed the tune in my 2014. Throttle response is definitely sharper, gears shifts are tighter and truck at slow speeds does not seem to be working so hard.

So if I am reading this thread I need download a update already?
