The reasons why I can't justify buying a Gen 2

You do realize Ford moved the license plate back to the center of the bumper on ecoboost engines so that it impeded air flow to the intercooler right? This was another attempt to keep the intercooler from building up condensate. Still doesn't prevent that and thus why there are still ecoboost misfires and hydrolocked ecoboost engines.

this thread to a turn to cazy. kinda comical really.

but back to the subject. i actually had the option to get a 14 gen 1 or my lariat heavy duty. two different truck for different purposes. at the time i thought i was going to go back to work full time and would need payload and a family truck. as much i as enjoyed the lariat heavy duty i am 90% sure i would not have a gen 2 if i had bought the 14 raptor.
i will not enter into the the gen war. i do enjoy our gen 2 as much as i did my 14 lariat.
both have a 3.5l eb. but that is where the comparisons stop. i had a borla s type on the 14 so they sound about the same. new is quieter. but that is where the comparisons stop.
way i see it is if you own a raptor, or any truck that can go get dirty with me, we can be friends

- Any Gen2 guy that complains about "Gen1s trolling our section" that posts in here has lost the right to make that complaint

Looks like the only people left driving G1's are just out high school buying them on the used market.

Which explains a lot of the G1 ******* trolling in the G2 area.
