Blood,

I will only bother you this one time. My truck was to have been built August 8 thru 12.

Can you tell me anything about 1FTFX1R6XDFD32629

Thanks much.

Gary

Well I ain't no blood, but from looking up your vin looks like your truck is being built on the 14th and delivery method is by convoy.

Just typed your vin into this link Use your VIN number to get Ford Window Sticker

Good luck and congrats

Blood,

I last bothered you last week. I am driving my wife, family, coworkers and I am sure you, nuts. I hate to take advantage of a good thing, but I am going away for the upcoming weekend. Any change in location or ETA? Again, thanks so much for everything you do for us on this forum.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Doesn't surprise me that Ford told me another wrong date, but at this point, I'll forgive them:)

I guess "convoy" means truck?

That's great to hear. My dealer had told me that it would not arrive from Roush until the middle of September. So if its already been to Roush and it on way to dealer then that's awesome.

Blood,

If my truck had already been to Roush then why are you able to track it? Shouldn't the eta be for it's arrival at the Roush factory? Then once it gets there then it's out of Ford's hands?

I'm just a little confused, it seems crazy that it has only taken a week from the production date to get all the Roush accessories on it and already made it to VA.

wish i had a answer for you,ive seen it done so many ways that i have no way to tell by the tracking data other than it wasnt in the system for a week.

Blood,

Called SVT this morning, said truck was in Greyfuss (SP?) Indiana with an updated eta of 8/19-23rd.

Do you have access to the tracking info so I can check it myself?

Hey Blood,

Can you give me the railcar info I need to track my truck? I tried getting it from the dealer but they won't call me back.

I love seeing everyone get their rail car numbers. That was me last week. Calling Union Pacific's trace line multiple times a day to see what city/state my beast was in.

Here are the instructions for tracking your rail car:

In case you haven't found a site that shows how to track your truck by rail...here you go.

First you will need the rail car letters and numbers. It is on the visibility report or DORA which is from the dealership. You MAY be able to get it from the SVT people but they seem often in a cranky mood and may tell you to get it from the dealer.

Mine was two letters and 6 numbers from what I remember.

There are two major rail companies.

CSX is everything east of the mississippi
UP is everything west of the mississippi

But they all start out on CSX so once they have it in their system they will follow it all the way.

So, how do you track your truck on a railcar?

First and most important. Never talk to live personnel at the railroad! Only use automated phone system. If it attempts to transfer you to a live person please hang up. The railcar information we are provided by is given as a courtesy and if we call live personnel we may lose the access and ability to track.
CSX
1. Call the CSX 1-800-235-2352
2. When prompted for location or weight, press "1" on your phone for location.
3. When prompted for the car initials, say CN (or whatever initials you have) then wait for the next prompt.
4. When prompted for the car number, say 907048 (or whatever your number is)
5. When prompted for next car say DONE.
6. That's it; enjoy your updated status report.

Union Pacific
1. Call UP at 1 800 877-5123 1 800 877-5123
2. Follow phone prompts for Trace
3. Say the railcar number complete and clearly. Example CN123456 all together
4. Listen for your update

These automated systems can be frustrating. Keep in mind they are intended for use by folks that use them daily all day long. Like I said if you are being transferred to a live person please hang up and try again.

The wait is so worth it when you first lay eyes on your new beast!
