That stinks. I haven't been following this that closely lately but I knew you had the wrong color on your order but I just saw that you put in a new order and the clock started all over again. Sorry they could get a priority 1 rebuild for you. I can tell you though that whatever you do, don't give up on the Raptor. It is SO much FUN!

I think because the dealer made the mistake (as apposed to Ford) they won't bump up their allocation......otherwise more dealers would make mistakes.

Blood, my dealer just call me with a VIN#. W00T! I would be much obliged if you would look up my build date.

For Blood or anyone - is there a website or phone number for tracking things on my own now that I have a VIN? My dealer said to go to the SVT site, but didn't know the URL off the top of his head.

Oh, and FWIW for everyone else on here waiting for a VIN. Dealer rep's seem to have pull, as evidenced by the guy further up in this thread who got an immediate priority 1. It may prove fruitful to harass your dealer and request that they put a bug in their rep's ear. In my case, I requested that the salesman ask the owner to put in a word since I'm well beyond the 6-8 weeks I was told when I ordered. He did, and now 3 days later I have a VIN.

So happy, today... :)

I'm starting to lose hope!

Why don't you see if your dealer can make a dealer trade for a White one out there.

Or you take the Black truck with the promise you will be first on the list for a 2014 and they will give you the price you paid for the Black one on a trade. You will lose on the sales tax, but maybe they can work with you on that. Just a thought.

Great ideas....I already tried to find a dealer trade but wasn't successful....I'm sure I can try again but the process is very time consuming. As for taking the black I just figure another month or so and I wont have to worry about all the future deals. I'm just losing hope that it'll get pulled this month considering next week is a holiday week.

To answer my own question:

  • SVT: (800) 367-3788. This is a real human. Great, fast service. Have your dealer's code and your order number at the ready. They will tell you your status and build date so you don't have to bother Blood.
  • Customer care: (800) 392-3673 Select option 1 for English, then 4, then 6. Also a real human. Also able to look up your order. Also able to tell you your VIN (SVT was not willing/able to do that - I was wanting to x-ref what I wrote down to make sure it was right before filling out paperwork for vanity plates and SVT said the dealer had to give that to me. Customer care hooked me up, though, since my sales guy split for the long weekend.)
  • How to Track Ford Factory Car Orders Apparently this only works after your truck is built... guess I'll find out the week of 6/10 :)

Your window sticker will be viewable from that site, about 7 days before your build. SVT will be able to give you a build week, and then your window sticker will show the actual build date.

Hey Blood I have a different question for you; any way to tell me which dealership has this vin:

1FTFW1R68DFC57884

I found it on the ford.com "search inventory" but it doesn't tell me which dealership has it (or if it's really available). Any way you can provide some info?

I googled it and it says Sunrise Ford of North Hollywood. (877) 739-7875.
