The One and Only 2013 Order status thread

You have to remember I ordered from a small dealer in a small town and they only get about 1 Raptor allotment per month and I had 2 orders ahead of me when I ordered and there is still one ahead of me. Unless we both get picked up at the same time, I'll probably have to wait another month just to get pulled after he gets pulled.

I don't think there's any doubt overall that orders are being picked up in about half the time they were a couple months ago. I have people who ordered after me and have picked up their Raptors already or have them heading to the dealer as we speak. It looks like I though will get to suffer a little like those that went before me...lol!

I'd like to know if your "new" order is still ahead of you "old" order. Your allowed to change items on your truck up until it's pulled. It shouldn't matter on this "bigger" change either should it? Will your dealer give you info (priority of your changed order vs you "older" order)?

Well, my sales rep is out today and other folks there said (effectively):

"Well...check with your sales rep to find out exactly how he processed it all. Most of the time with changes to SVT orders, we have to cancel 'em and then resubmit 'em. If your order hadn't been pulled though...I dunno. I don't think it should have been a new order. Call him on Monday and he'll be able to tell you for sure."

So...I don't have a good answer yet. I was so busy today I couldn't get away to call SVT to ask them and I sure don't want to pester blood 'til I've got a truck being built and shipped.

THE WAIT CONTINUES...but if I burned a month of wait time...

I don't know the technicalities of it but it shouldn't matter if you just changed your order. You shouldn't lose your place in line (your priority number at that dealer). That would not be right. And if I understand the allotment process right as long as you stay in the same order for Raptors at that dealer, then it shouldn't change the waiting time at all. It's not a matter of when you ordered per se but where your order is in line at that dealer vs how many allotments they have which determines eventually when you get pulled.

I just found out one reason my order is taking so long... Some guy is buying tons from my dealer and shipping them over seas. I gotta say that ****** me off. Guys like that should be at the absolute bottom priority.

If you know for sure that this is happening then Ford will take all the allotment away from this dealership.

I noticed they took the SCAB off their site and left mine advertised. Why do I not have a good feeling about these guys anymore??? Thanks for the recon Ed! Seems they are happy to take calls on special ordered Raptors
