My build date was the October 13th, called SVT on the 15th, they told me expected delivery November 1. I thought the next 2 weeks or so are going to suck.

Got a call today from my Dealer saying my truck is at the Spokane railyard waiting to be unloaded. May have it in the next couple days. Now gotta get the financing sorted.

My Bakflip F1 arrives on Friday that I ordered yesterday, perfect timing.

My Truck was built on the 11th, showed produced a couple days later and then started moving on the 19th. It was in Battle Creek, MI Friday and was in Provisio, IL this morning.
I am traveling on business the next two days, hopefully its in town by Wednesday night or Thursday when I get back in town!

This morning my truck is now in Grazeland, Nebraska. I forgot to ask for a spelling on that city and can't find it on the map. I am not sure if it is coming to a depot in Colorado or as others on here have reported in Rolla KS but either way I am hoping the snow coming to Denver later this week does not delay delivery!

Congrats guys! ETA of Oct 31 myself. When I called my bank to ask what the procedure was for buying a new vehicle, the guy told me to write a personal check for it and they would honor it. Then come by the bank later that week to sign loan papers. Thankfully my kidneys get to stay where they are.

Considering the amount of money that is due, you may want to contact the dealer to see if they will take a personal check. They may want a cashiers check. Some dealers are funny like that.

Did you get something in writing? Fill out a loan application? Know what your interest rate is going to be on the loan? If not, this sounds really dangerous to me.

That's pretty baller. "here's my personal check for this $50k truck"

Lots of people do this. It's about 1 in 10 for new car purchases.

Only C notes would surpass that.

C notes for anything $10k or over is a bad idea unless you like dealing with three letter government agencies.

And I bet less than 1 in 10 new car purchases are $50,000 too.

The most I've paid for any car before was $3000, so it's new to me. The last big purchase I made other than my house, I used these:

I guess for the Raptor, I could bring a couple of these 10 ouncers for what's left from the downpayment:

I'm like WTF? My truck should have been here yesterday with the ETA of 22 Oct. I have not received a call yet. I called SVT and they said the Truck is still in transit in Vegas as of the 18 of Oct. So I called SVT and they said my ETA is now 25 of Oct. Ok so I know it's around the corner but damn are the drivers in Downtown Las Vegas gambling? Come on people there are more important things then gambling! :lol2:

Dealer told me personal checks spend just like cashiers checks and whichever I cared to do would be perfectly fine.

kypatriot, before this, the most I've paid for a vehicle was $3500. You and I are coming from the same place :laughing1:

bikerglen, it's a local bank. They signed a loan for my house with no money down. I paid it off last month (5 years on the dot) and told them I was going to buy a truck. Loan guy's response was "call me before you agree to anything over a hundred". Loan rate will be their standard which is currently around 5.5%. Nothing in writing yet, but it's not the same kind of environment that bigger city banks operate in. For instance, they don't report anything to credit bureaus, good or bad.

Back on track.. my truck should be in hand in 9 days! Anybody asked the dealer to set the truck to mid-perch while they did the PDI? Just curious if I have a chance at talking them into it. I know one of the mechanics there has a whipple'd and jacked SCab.

That's really cool. Didn't know banks like that still existed in this day and age. And congratulations on paying off your house!
