The youtube guys Fast Land truck did a test of the Taco and their real world MPG test was like 8 or 9mpg for towing. The listed Mpg for the taco is 21mpg in regular driving. This is why everyone here is hoping for the 6.2 to carry over into the new sen body with lower weight. I think they tested the tow for the old raptor and it did very close to the BRAND NEW chevy

Cant help to wonder since the Gen II is not a real Raptor and is hated by Gen I owners so much if we dont need to just start a Gen II forum somewhere else. We say "hey we are not going on the Gen I boards to claim how crappy the Gen I is" and they say "Its the Raptor forums" even though we are on the Gen II board. Its been pretty funny to watch, but its increasingly an annoyance. Mods really need to cool down things and put the kibosh on the cross board bashing.

Some of the Gen 1 guys like to troll just as much as Randy M does so theres that.

This is the Gen 2 area but with so little info right now (for the past year) I think everyone is just bored so they all resort to non-sense just to stay entertained and thats all well and fun but hopefully itll all die down when the truck is actually released. Hopefully when its out the 2017 section will become just like the 2010, 2011, 2013, and 2014 section....a place to ask questions about fixes, upgrades, and whatever else pertains to the 2017.

There really isnt any use in arguing anymore and I say settle in and wait until the release for real world talking points. Let the truck speak for itself...it might be ******* awesome or it might be a shiny **** but until then no one knows.

No.... you just go into a 17 thread on a raptor forum and talk shit about Gen1 owners and their trucks and how sad we'll be when our trucks get blown away by gen2 trucks that if I can recall aren't even out yet. I'm not talking shit but the posts you guys make here show to me and everyone else that posts here that you're having a huge problem with the all new Gen II Raptor. You're taking my positive thoughts about the truck as trolling because you don't agree with them. I think you may be striking out because of denial. Mods won't do shit for you all. This is FRF(Sparta) have you ever noticed nothing you post is blocked with little stars because we can say **** as much as we want. This is a place where we all say what we want and if your little ****** gets too hot, you need to move on. That or grow thicker skin. We have a community here that you all don't understand because you cannot get past your Gen 2 hype. We helped purchase a seizure prediction dog for a little girl who has seizures. We donate constantly to our Armed Forces and other charities as well provide care packages to deployed soldiers, etc. Most of us would give each other the shirt of our backs if the situation warranted it.

Gen 2 is going to be great but don't come to a 1st gen Raptor forum that is not meant for the second gen Raptor and expect shit to change for you. This is a sub forum for current owners/members to discuss what they like/dislike about the new offering. There are forums dedicated to the new one but no one is on them because you can't even buy the truck for another 8 months. Go sit on those forums and get hyped with the other 8 people and you won't see this shit. Most of us are sarcastic rude ************* and we all get along just fine because we know that. If you all took a chance to get to know us and learn instead of defend a truck that doesn't exist yet un-necessarily because a couple guys want a V8 in it then you have issues you should deal with.

Chevy was like 11.3 and the 3 year old Raptor was 9.4 IIRC. Not too shabby for a truck that was 3 years old and wasn't designed to be a towing beast. Just proves Chevy doesn't know what they're doing. The Taco did better than the Tundra also by 1 MPG or so.
