Yep! I thought about shipping the truck but it looks like too much hassel and cost.

Yea I wish I could find a cheap transport option. Most of those convoying are spending the night at the Hampton Inn Birch Run hotel thursday night. And then we will meet up with the other convoys from the area Friday morning for heading up the rest of the way.

I would take the chains with you just incase you hit bad weather on the trip back if you plan on driving thru the mountains

I wish I could go to the tour, but I'm going to miss too much work in January as it is. My fiancee is from Michigan, and told me all about Frakenmuth (near birch run) and I'd like to see that too.

We are back from the prerun. There currently is about the same snow pack as the 1st SnoBall prerun. But 2 weeks can change alot up there. Roads where a bit slick as they had freezing rain 2 days before.

We added a new loop from Negaunee to Disho rd. We tried to do this a few years back and kept hitting dead ends. This year we figured it out. Should be fun!


Up North Lodge is all ready for us on Sunday around noon.

2 weeks away.


Also if you haven't booked your rooms yet the casino is going to release the block to the general public today.

Room booked, but after doing some reading I may change it as I put my check in on the 12th due to the Roush tour, before seeing that others were planning to stay at the Hampton Inn and driving up with the other convoys Thursday morning. @Kanakry can you send me the number to that Hampton?
