Congrats! What 2017 buyers don't realize is that 2017 was last year's model. One year depreciation can be a bitch. You made a smart choice, and at MSRP!

2018s will depreciate too. So will 2019s and 2020s. Might as well walk if you're using that line of thinking.

Just think of the depreciation hit these will take when the new engine comes online.

Ford is more likely to drop the V8 for the entire F-150 line than add it to the Raptor.

Due to emissions regulations, Ford wants to move all XT/XLT/Lariat buyers to the V6. What better way to convince regular F-150 buyers that the V6 is good enough for them than by making it the only option in their over-the-top halo truck?

Ford made waves by moving to aluminum bodies this generation. Next generation they will shake things up again by dropping the V8.
