Hell yeah, he has all that practice chasing those cows in his pastures avoiding cow patties... Lol

BAHAHA :ROFLJest:

My dad being the Rancher he is said to me after telling him the story of how he caught me and most everyone else " Yeah thats all that back road driving on gravel and offroading you have to do in the pasture even when you dont want to do it". I know I've lost my touch just like city driving when you don't do it very often.

I installed Stage 3 the week before the run, and it took the amount of fun out there to a new level.

I plan to do a full write-up on the installation and review - but wanted to wait until after the run to do so. It will probably sound like I'm getting paid to sell RPG Gear by the time I'm done with it (of course I am not) but that's how much I liked it.

I plan to do the same thing. I did the run fully stock on Friday. And then Stage 4 on Saturday. Friday night, I was blown away by how well the truck did. Myself and my two friends (who also drove) all got air friday. No truck damage to speak of. :waytogo:

After the "untill 3:30 am install" the Saturday run, got air again, and wow! A very noticable difference. Hence the quote "about 10-15 mph faster with the same set of balls" :ROFLJest:

Same here, good to meet you too. All three of us were shades of jealousy when we saw you roll in with all that mud on your truck sunday morning. I wish we could have gotten one more run in of the mud bowls instead of the saturday dust bowls.

Unfortunately we had already loaded up so stuff Satuday night. We left the ranch at 10:30 am. I got to Omaha 3:00 am! I was  Had to call off / I mean "work from home" today.... ha ha :birgits_tiredcoffee

Okay here is a short review of my mods after the Texas Raptor Run and driving back home 600+ miles.... In pictures because I am not BIGJ!!

Ducati headlights worked flawlessly!! Even after all punishment there are not issues!!!

Goodyear Duratracs even with 2 ply sidewall, made it through without ANY chunking or flats!! They worked in all conditions that the ranch had to throw at it! And YES, the ATX artillery with -12mm backspace worked out great!!! NO, fenders or liners ripped off! The ONLY time I rubbed the fender and ripped two clips was during my "epic jump" (RPG words, not mine).

I was concerned about the capless fuel filler... Guess what! It worked as designed!!! one of the only places on my truck that did not have mud!!

RPG tierods and raceline 1.5" also performed incredible!!!

RPG Stage 3 kit!!! AMAZING!!!! So much so my wife even commented that she could tell the difference and wanted to drive!!!

DSCF1003.jpg
VHF antenna mount... No drilling, pressure mounted on the tailgate stayed put!! It also preformed great!!

As you can see there was mud everywhere inside my engine compartment!!! Put my AFE stage 2 with cover was dry!!! a little dusty but that was to be expected!!

The backflip bed cover worked great!!! Everything thing in the bed was dry, even after the Saturday night storm, and Sundays mudbath. And it held up to my large action packer breaking 2 ratchet straps and slamming into the cover during my big jump!

DSCF0989.jpg
Stock skid plate held up to the Texana Ranch.. A lot had to do with being on top perch!!

And here is in cab shots of the mud hell I put everything through!!

I don't want to take anything away from the guys with aftermarket suspension bits but I am blown away with what this truck can handle in bone-stock form (except for perch mod and I took off my sway bar as well).

I truly hammered on my truck this weekend and it ate it up! I mean I was beating the living dog shit out it.

My only gripe was the throttle delay. When Ryan convinced me to start shifting myself, that little concern went away. I will never use "D" offroading again.

I will say if you want to run hard at night you need to add some type of auxilliary lighting.

Yeah I figured out the leave it in 2 wasn't working up the steep or on the fast, so I started shifting it myself about 1/4 thru the first run. Almost makes me wish the thing was a stick shift (almost...still too lazy to deal with it in traffic)
