I’ve seen to many different options with raptors. My goal is to put 20” on a 37” tire and I’m not sure if I can get back with. 2” lift or if I have to go 4”. I’d like to see how a 35” tires looks on a 20” wheel as I’m not set it stone on 37’s.

I like the regular height that the truck is but the 17” with so much tire under it looks ugly to me.

many ideas or advise.
Don't. The larger the wheel, the lower the off-road capability. You live in SoCal, the proving ground for the Raptor. If you want bigger breaks, you can make an argument for 18" wheels. Other than that, the 17s give you more sidewall, so you can absorb more without cracking a rim. 37" tires on a 17" wheel is the sweet spot. There is a reason trophy trucks, with unlimited budgets, use 17" wheels.

That said, your truck, do what you like. No judgement from me. Just have some thick skin because you'll catch a lot of shit around Raptor specific groups as they lean more towards off-road.

I agree, but he kinda said that he's strictly about looks. Cuz rubber ugly. If he went off road, he'd already know that the rubber is an important part of the suspension.
I bought my Raptor without really knowing the finer points of off-road. I knew I wanted to off-road my sweet new off-road capable truck, but might have mistakenly errored on the side of looks without fully realizing it lowered performance. I try to provide one sincere, honest post for new members that may be in the same boat. I also love to read these threads for the flames. :smiley-face-popcorn

Personally I prefer this look here... not sure if your ever planning on going off-roading or anything like that cus if you are. The set up you like won’t sustain the off-roading. The pic below won’t either but hey, it’s a personal choice. I’m planning on simply having two sets of wheels... the one u see below for everyday use and I’m keeping my OEM wheels so when off-roading time comes around I can swap them out. If anyone here happens to know what what the set up on this truck is.... please let me know... all I know is the wheels are 20” which I won’t be doing that... I’d stick with 18s

I run 20” rims on my truck with stock suspension, no lift, but the front shocks are on the high perch. When I first got the truck it had 37s on it, and it was fine but looked like crap IMO. I went to a 35x1350 Nitto Ridge Grappler. The wider heavier tire knocked about 1mpg off fuel economy, but if I gave a crap about that I should be driving a Prius. (Never)

Don’t let the haters tell you what you should do or don’t do. They didn’t pay for your car or making car payments for you. You do you and **** the haterade drinkers. I put 20” wheels on 35” Nitto Ridge Grapplers. Rides fantastic and off road to fishing spots with no issues. Yea, so what if people drive their cars through Starbucks or park in malls? Bitch boards always going to have people to find fault in everything.30132C3D-014B-4BD8-A278-D898164D3D71.jpeg

Lol this is my favorite post in a while. And it's not because it's sage advice.

Like a F1 car, the tire is part of the suspension. All you will do by putting that much rim under the car is making it ride like **** and remove a lot of of road performance.

You should have bought a Harley Davidson F150 if you wanted to roll on dubs
