The actual bar that has the brake lights and turn signals. I think it might now be an options for the more expensive F-150's, but I don't think the Raptor was included in that.

Lightbars that go just below the tailgate are not a factory option on any F150. They may be available as a dealer installed accessory, but you can get them much cheaper and better quality through the aftermarket. Check with some of the vendors on here.

You certainly have to follow all the directions from PUTCO, which include cutting the red wire on their harness and adding the power tap under the dash.

The harness I mention is only an alternative to wiring to the tail light or other sources in a clean way.

I have a fully loaded 802A and have been running the PUTCO without issue for months.

For some reason I had to pull my harness and tap the factory wires. I had to do so despite adding the 12 volt power tap. So you are using the harness and get no "a trailer is connected" message on your dash every time you start up the truck? This drove me crazy (er) and I couldn't figure out how to turn it off so I tapped the factory wires and it is perfect.

Nope...I've never seen any messages for detecting the trailer with the method I used; and, I verified that it detects properly when I do actually connect a trailer.

I can only assume you did something differently.

Baja Designs IS awesome and yes it IS expensive... but you really get what you pay for. I've sold a few of the Baja Designs bars as well (a couple yesterday or today I think). Not sure if the buyers were from this board though.

PUTCO makes the tailgate bars. BD makes the S2 reverse light kit. I use both.

My understanding was that those Baja bars will not fit in the small slot between the bumper and tailgate like the PUTCO. But are still very cool if you want to mount them on the bumper, rear of the cab, roll bars, etc.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

Sounds correct to me. The baja bars look difficult to mount. I am not sure where where I would put it. Apparently there is no "mounting kit" from baja designs. Does anyone out there have one with a picture on a 2017? Just curious really. The Putco works out well for me and it really looks good on the raptor. Do you really have the putco blade and baja reverse lights? I think that the putco puts out decent light in reverse mode. I don't think that I would want Baja S2s hooked up to turn on every time I back up. I suppose that I could buy a pair and use the up fitter switch. These also don't look like a stock part of the truck to me. Sort of a bolted on look. I do like the looks of the flat ones that people have put in the bumpers. I think rigid makes one as well as baja. I wonder how hard this is to accomplish in a stock bumper.

Hell I have Squadron Pros as reverse lights : Wanna talk about a lotta light (then again I have it on a separate switch since I have my own line of reverse LEDs [3156/3157] in my housings)
