Tailgate Applique Conversion

Hi Guys,

Here in the ME we have two options to choose from, either a base Raptor or an 802a with the orange interior/stickers/beadlocks with out the Applique

I have an AG SCAB on order (March Delivery) and I would like to have the Applique look



I know that the tailgate is different because the applique is bolted/snapped in place

Can anyone help and find what parts have to be ordered to do the conversion from a non applique tailgate to an applique tailgate?

Also can a painted tailgate be ordered from the factort parts department?

You would probably do best just ordering an entire tailgate. Otherwise you're going to have to order every little tiny piece in the tailgate, or you'll have to gut the tailgate you have and move the parts to the new one.

Previously, I've asked my parts guy if I can order body parts painted. He said no, just primered.

I would start looking for someone who ordered the applique and doesn't like it. Could offer to pay the $500 or so it cost plus shipping to swap tailgates.

Maybe find someone to do a tailgate swap with? This is pretty common on the Subaru forums with trunk lids.

Yup. I picture a simple plastic overlay.

Eventually you may find someone in your area that decided they don't like theirs... Just swap tailgates
