I have been battling the issue...unfortunately, I am out of warranty. Ford wanted $1,500 to replace the radio module. looks like a straight forward swap. Does the system require any special re-programming from the dealer. they gave me part # JS7T14G371KED
Yes, the APIM (14G371) requires programming with IDS. Looks like they gave you the engineering part number; list price shows $633.64. I’d be asking where the other $900 is coming from, book time is less than 1 hour.

Mine has done this on occasion. How do I check the version and if I take the truck in how long does it take to update it?

The version can be found in Sync under settings. You can update it yourself in less than an hour, you just need a USB drive with sufficient storage capacity. If you bring it to the dealer they’ll charge you.
