I sync'd my work phone and personal phone into the system. No issues. The question is, what do I have to do to make them both active at once. My goal is to be able to receive phone calls on both phones while in the truck. The chances of them both going off at the same time are very remote, but between the volume level of the stereo and the roar of the beast, I need to hear both phones! Any help would be awesome! Thanks in advance!

I don't believe you can do what you're trying to accomplish. You can have multiple phones paired but only one is active at one time, as you found out.

You can't.

It's not possible.

And why would you think such a thing would be possible? How would you see that functioning? What would two phone do via the Sync system?

I thought that was a reasonable question. Until recently, I was in the same boat-work and personal phones.

Why the attitude?
You ever hear of a computer network or a shared drive?

Why wouldn't it be possible? It's not like he was asking for cold fusion or something like that. I would imagine Sync would assign one phone as a primary, that one that would come up first with its phonebook and such, but if the other (secondary) received a call- it would go thru the Sync.

A friend had a Bluetooth that would handle two phones, What it boils down to is Ford didn't think it was needed or didn't want to spend the development money to add it.

there are units out that will sync 2 phones at once, however it will not work in the truck. our systems are ony capable of one phone at a time, much like most other units. you can get an external bt kit and that would allow you to connect another phone.

Attitude? I asked a question.

And maybe Ford can make Sync work with 3 or 4 phones in the future right after they make a cold fusion engine :signs8:

i think the only thing that you can do is have one phone synced to the phone portion and another synced to the media player. i believe i was able to do it with my wife's phone and my phone in the truck. we were listening to pandora from her phone and my phone was connected to the phone function.

Thats what we do! My phone is the main "phone" to take calls and text while her phone plays music. Works pretty well. Also once you have the phones loaded the thing you could do is if you get a call you can manually push the phone to the truck. Just make your person on the phone call hang on for a few seconds.

Please explain...... This way seems really legit! I like my ladies music but I need my phone handicapable while driving. Do you need MFT for this capability bc I have a 12'?
