Ive watched this same video today. Debating on whether to do it or not. If you check the description of the upgrade on their website, it mentions that some functions do not work - "Some Features may not work like camera zoom in and out, camera swap button(hard button works) or PDC buttons in screen menu, auto start/stop buttons,OTA software updated or others not tested yet."

That kind of makes sense as the later gen trucks are going to have all different hardware to support the embedded sync4. If the main functions - radio, map, sirius, etc. work, it’s interesting. I note that the video system’s response time is a bit faster than my ’17 Sync3. It does include a new APIM and -- you need to provide your VIN.

Interesting indeed. I’d go this direction before one of the aftermarket giant screens.

I dare @Zeusmotorworks to install it. :p

Ive been looking at this unit and asked the seller questions. Apparently you lose navigation, and Sirius control. The bezel is apparently mis matched. No real way to tell until someone takes one for the team.

That’s unfortunate. I would think Forscan could be the solution to most of these bugs but who knows.

Yea whats worse is the supplier is very cryptic and is very selective in the way they answer questions. You have to be very direct. I also want to add the unit. But I am not willing to lose factory nav and sirius etc. its a fail safe / back up when Im off the grid and away from cell service.

Ive also never seen the temp knobs display the temp in any of their demos- also hvac in the screen does not work.

Well, I popped off before realizing what you lose. So now "quasi-interesting"? :p

However, interested enough to attempt a dialog with them.
