So by what I gathered from this is that even if we (those of us with 2018 or older)update to the new 3.4 our firmware is incompatible. So we are not able to gain the ability of having multiple presets.

That seems to be the likely answer. Oh well. I’m no worse off than I was before the upgrade to 3.4.

New 2019 Raptor, Build date is 9-19, came with 3.3. Updated today with 3.4, 32g usb 3 drive, used the https://cyanlabs.net/tutorials/update-ford-sync-3-2-2-3-0-to-version-3-4-all-years-3-4-19200/ tutorial exactly as it said with two USB sticks formated exfat . Downloaded no problem, unzipped no problem win 10, installed into vehicle no problem, 27 min to complete. Master reset at the end and all is perfect, Nav, 3d maps, sat logos, multiple presets etc... Thank you for posting solution!

I upgraded from 3.0-3.4. It was relatively easy but I’m not sure if it’s worth the trouble yet. The only notable issue so far is that it’s showing the Lincoln Black Label splash screen on start up sometimes. About 50/50 Raptor and Lincoln.

Upgraded my 2017 using the same instructions, no problems for me as well.

Never mind. After a few more power cycles it seems to be all Raptor now.

Since you had 3.3, you could have used 1 USD and skipped right to the 3.4 install. I have a 19 and that's all I did. no reset and everything was fine.

I have 3.3 on my truck. If I do this
, is there a way to revert back to it for any warranty work?

why would you need to revert back to an older version of Sync?
I’m sure if you run the format utility, which is part of the 3.4 upgrade from 3.0, then you could install any version with the right files and instructions but I can’t imagine that actually being a thing for the dealer.
