Switching a Ground instead of the Hot Leg

True; there's no functional difference between interrupting the power or ground with a switch. The reason it's so common to interrupt the power side of the circuit with lights and accessories in automotive applications is because the entire chasis of the vehicle is a ground, so it's easy to ground right at the load to save wire. I simply said it was "ghetto" because of the lack of a relay and the Rigid Dually power on permissive... didn't mean any disrespect by it.

Just remember anytime u need to work on the lights or if u should somehow rip a light off while Offroad u have no way of shuttng the power off easily. U will have to pull fuses to interrupt power.

Just remember anytime u need to work on the lights or if u should somehow rip a light off while Offroad u have no way of ******** the power off easily. U will have to pull fuses to interrupt power.

True. So my plan was to actually power the lights via the existing uplifter, so there would be a power interrupt. The idea is I could run multiple amber lights, but have the ability to turn off the Whelen's when "on road" or close the ground switch when off.


So I'd actually be able to kill the power as well as have it be the same switched source as stock.
