How do the swing brakets mount to the bed, any detailed pictures? The boxes look a little on the flimsy side. Are they?

I don't have any pics but I have one on each side and they have held alot of gear for almost a year now with no issues. I think they're great.

The hinges mount to the spots where the bed extender/gate usually is connected and the actual hook part goes where the rear tie downs are screwed in so you lose the ability to use a bed extender and you lose your rear tie downs. Neither of those issues are all the a big deal for me and I like having my gear there in a neat, out of the way space.

As for how durable are they, the only weak piece I have found is that each case comes with a little tray which sets in and rests on four little metal clips.. well the trays are not strong enough to hold any weight as I found out when I had my two steel clevis/d-shackles in one. After about three months the clips gave up the ghost. THe cases themselves are rated for 75 lbs. a piece and I've found them to be perfectly sturdy and survived a good beating recently at the track.

As with anything I'm sure if you abuse them they'll break. I'll try to get you some pics here in a bit if I get a chance.

I concur with everything stated about. I also have one on each side and they are very durable. I have them both loaded up and they have been in use for over a year now. Along with swinging it out, you can lift if off and remove the entire case and as seen in BGM's pics, there is a loop for a lock if you need to secure it. Of course it also has a locking lid with weatherproof cover. The bracket and latch mechanism is all metal and is adjustable.

"Swingcase thread! I raise ye from the dead!"

Since the subwoofer Noah built for me completely eliminates the space for my jack and jumper cables under my rear seat, I needed some extra storage. (Totally worth it, by the way)

Just put one of these on my truck today. Couldn't be happier. Literally a two minute install and it works perfect. Holds the jack, jumper cables, bungee cords, flashlight, set of Sae wrenches, set of Sae/metric sockets, and some other odds and ends. Swings nice and smooth and locks easy. Ran it through the car wash and it's completely waterproof. I'll probably have a second one by next weekend. Hahaha.
