Thanks! Thats really good to know. I told him no because I would need to swap to Carli and he dropped it by $5k so I could afford to swap some components. Still might get it with the plans of updating the suspension immediately.

Great source of information here. Also check out their stuff on the YouTube.

I have been watching their videos forever which is why I’m interested in building a super duty into an off-road beast.

This build is something I’ve wanted to do for the last 5 years and I think it’s time to give it a shot. The dream is to start with a tremor (with factory winch), add the Carli pintop system, fab4 fenders and 40” tires.

Then all the Banks Engineering goodies, decked drawer system and Smartcap

Then a swing away rear tire carrier with jack mount, light mount, water jugs. Then a roof rack (no sunroof) with lighting both forward and sideways.

At this point, maybe just an air compressor and that’s about it.

I would skip the Tremor. Most of that package (giggity) is in the suspension which you are replacing. You can add the winch. Same thing i am doing.

Id test drive it. Calling it just a BDS lift makes it sound like its a crappy drop bracket lift with a huge spacer on a twintube shock. It looks like a better setup than anything on the BDS website. Still won't ride like a Raptor, but Id test drive it.
I’m assuming you don’t know what a bds kit actually is. Their nice kits are fox coilovers, no drop brackets, etc. decent bolt-on kits but not a Raptor. The super baja is literally a bds kit (take that as you will).

If they dropped it another 5k to do suspension upgrades and you need the extra towing capacity, so it. Doesn't sound like you use the raptor for flying through the desert anyways. The f250 will handle the moderate off roading just fine but can tow.
