Anybody notice this? So many haters out there.
So far I've had one tell me how horrible the truck is for offroading, oh those BFG's are no good for mud bogging (he's got a bronco with smaller tires and basically passenger car tires on it). Another person tell me wow those tow hooks are so wimpy and undersized (he drives a honda ridgeline!). And another person I merged in front of them, because I was already 3/4 truck length in front of them in the right lane and the road merged 2:1, and I see them screaming "azzhole" in my sideview. Chillax! They followed me allllllll the way to where I work. I continued past my normal spot, and go trotting down a backroad where their toy box couldn't continue, but a bright blue raptor stands out like a sore thumb, ain't hard for them to spot it again if they've got malicious intentions.
Seriously wtf is with the jealousy? The Raptor has gotten just as much looks as my HD trucks when they were new as far as turning heads, but man I don't remember this much hate. The HD truck was the 1st vehicle to come with 20's all around back in 2000, but I remember my uncle swearing up and down the 20" chrome rims were no big deal, his CR-V had the option for 20's but he decided he liked the stamped steel 15's better. LOL yeah right! He was asking where my picnic table was because his fancy CR-V had one that popped out of the back. And I had a neighbor who asked why we only got the 150 hp version of the HD truck, and not the 1500 hp like his dakota. I look at him like "serously?" and no kidding, he was dead serious, he thought F-150 meant 150 hp, F-250 meant 250 hp, and Dakota 1500 meant 1,500 hp, etc.
I may drive my 27 year old hooptie the rest of this week. But heck even that gets nasty looks from people of "damnit this old POS is pulling out in front of me?" even though it's got a 5.8L '94 L engine and fuel injection under the hood.
