GEN 2 SVC trac bars

Going from stock to Deavers and Fox 3.0s along with 37s made an insane difference. I honestly can’t imagine it making a bigger difference than what I currently have but I may change my tune when the SPD parts go on.

Hey guys ... any feedback on the Trac bars? I’m riding stock shocks on a gen 2 right now. Thinking about starting with the deavers +2 and the SVC trac bars at the same time. Also anyone running both deavers and trac bars have any feedback or regrets? Thanks!

To everyone concerned.

If you want to maintain every aspect of the geometry and not apply unnecessary forces, other than improvements to traction and dynamics of the body in motion.

Rogue's traction bars increase front grip, as the properly lift the rear of the cab and do not act as a pivot or a fixed link.

Any "traction" bar or system that utilizes single pivots is a cheap knock off of years of lifted truck aesthetics coming into the offroad world to make a buck.

Fixed pivot and spring loaded bars are not logical when you want the most performance out of your platform.
They change the center-line of the rear axle over the motion range allowed by the rear suspension system
They do not help anything but keeping it from wrapping the leaf spring
They dictate pinion angle
Some recent geometry that have been released actually do very little to prevent axle wrap due to single pivot and locating it forward of the axle centerline (which may allow it to travel, or have less bind over motion ratios.)

Ours completely eliminate wheel hop, axle wrap.

They also help take weight off the front during hard compression hits, and allow you to throttle into and onto the next hit.

I beg, do not choose an inferior product due to cost or over glorification.

I would also call manufactures out by name, but that helps them.

Hello, 1st off beautiful truck! I have a 2018 Raptor and had a SVC leveling kit installed on the front. They left it too high so the front is probably 3/4" higher then rear. I didn't really notice any difference in the rear with the factory rims and tires. However I installed new wheels and tires and I now noticed the right side rear is wider out than the left side. You seem to be knowledgeable and I seek answers nobody can really give me outside of telling me that because of the front end is higher the track bar will shift the rear axle off center, is that true? since this thread was started to ask about SVC traction bars, not rogue bars, and I seem to be one of the few "idiots" that runs them on a gen 2, I'll chime in.

I just got back from doing 5200 road miles and 1500 or so dirt miles, including tecate to san felipe. I was extremely impressed with how well my truck hooked up, rotated, articulated and handled with my svc bars.

I had no issues whatsoever. It was a big improvement compared to before the bars were installed. I would absolutely recommend them.

Yes, I had deaver +3s well before the traction bars. I also ran camburg shackles, sdhq extended shackles and now run SVC's shackles. ( which by the way are the only shackles that I've found to not contact the frame at full droop ( even the factory shackles will rub the frame at 2-4" before full droop.)

I can say that I still got a fair amount of axle wrap before the traction bars. to the degree that there was a bit of a delay in throttle input to traction. the result of throttle application is now far more immediate and predictable for me now.

With traction bars, you really shouldn't try to run extended shackles, as they will cause binding. ( the axle can no longer rotate that far forward due to the bars) That being said, I did not notice any limitation or binding of the rear suspension with the bars installed vs. not installed with the same shackle.

The truck will pivot much much better. It will also squat much better. I would not take mine back off again unless I was linking my truck.

The easier rotation helps me turn the truck with brake and throttle much easier.

The truck squatting a bit more with the traction bars when getting on the gas is a really helpful thing for me. I'm still learning how to read desert terrain properly. The traction bars don't save me from everything, but if my reaction time is a bit slow, or I misread a whoop or washout, putting the power down better and squatting a bit more is a really good thing for me when I need to get the front suspension unloaded to handle something big.

When hitting big stuff at 40-50 mph, I can already say that the bars probably saved me from myself numerous times.

If you have a ton more driving experience, the benefits might not be as apparent to you, but I've been very pleased with what they provide for me and I think that SVC's pricing is extremely nice for the benefits that I got out of the setup.

I can't speak for rogue's kit, as I think most have seen my sentiments on the company. Not saying that their bars don't work, or aren't quality, I just choose to spend my money elsewhere for my own reasons.
