I did it, made a few posts about it on FB groups

but it’s easy, they’re just stuck in there with a thick double sided tape/ rubber material. It’s best to have the engine just little warm to soften the glue, and a small flat head screw driver is all you need, just pry up from the corners. There’s the 4 or so triangles, the trapezoid behind, then the big square under the red/ black decorative tin.

There’s tin you can carefully peal off the aluminum square once it’s off and stick it back down with the double side rubber piece if desired.

It’s not as noticeable as taking the stock airbox lid off , but it is slightly more noticeable SC whine.

If anything the negative is if you’re cruising windows up / no stereo etc. there is almost a “feedback through the speakers” sound that might annoy some.

I think why ford installed them per someone that posted in a gt500 FB post that was supposedly on predator motor R&D team… ( sound deadening) they claimed.
