Actually what he is interested in are the Toyo M/T's. Hence my post. In looking at the various 37's it looks like the Toyo tires in 37 are almost two inches taller and two inches wider than stock 35 BFG's. This was his question about the need to trim on mid perch with stock rims. The Nittos are a bit smaller. Surely someone out there is running Toyo 37's on mid perch with stock rims.

For a street queen he will still have rubbing issues given the right conditions (esp backing up in a full turn with a small dip). I ran the top perch and had extensive inner fender well work done. Lots of threads on this but bottom line his throat his razor.

Well, lots of threads for sure. But no consensus, especially for street driving. Some rub with 37s, some don't.

Depends on a whole lot of things, including actual tire height, wheel offset, and I would imagine tolerances. The difference between rubbing and not rubbing can be less than 1/4", and these are Fords, not German cars.

The one thing for sure that I've learned from all the contradicting posts is that 37" tires may fit. You may need to do some minor modifications depending on your off road use, but for daily street driving I've read enough posts of people reporting no rubbing that I'm fairly confident with going that route. And if I do, and there is rubbing, it will be a relatively easy/minor fix.

I was opposed to doing mid perch but opted to go that route to reduce the likelihood of rubbing. I'm going with 37x12.5 GY Kevlar on Method Fat Fives with 0mm offset and 4.75" backspace. Got my fingers crossed. I'm tempted by the 37" Nitto Terra Grapplers because they are 1/2 shorter. That will further reduce the likelihood of rubbing. Will it eliminate it? No. Especially if I then decide to go off road. Which is why I'm more leaning towards the GY and then dealing with the rubbing when and IF it becomes a problem.

Unfortunately I have not found a definitive answer to this question. Many posts going either way. If I'm way off I'll welcome the education. I'm just a newb. With tire/wheel money burning a hole in my pocket...

Wheel offset is a factor that most guys seem to ignore when going with new wheels and tires. Everybody likes that wide aggressive stance with 37s but can't seem to understand why the tires rub. It's as much of an wheel offset issue as it is a tire size. If you stick with a stock offset, you have much more room to play with.

I read somewhere that up to 0 offset, I should be fine. Do you think I should get closer to stock wheel offset? If so, would that cause issues on the inside?

Z boater just to clarify my methods with the same stats will rub my driver side stock tire when turning hard left. Especially backing up, this is however rubbing my PDP mud flap not quite the fender so somewhere in the 1/8-1/4 inch range.

Just to get back on track here. Looking for experience from folks with 37 Toyo M/T tires on mid perch with stock rims. Any major rubbing issues???

Will not work bottom line without rubbing. Mine was on the top perch and had extensive modifications to the inside and it would Still rub under the right conditions.

Bottom line--street queen which you are will most likely be ok however when turning esp backing up at full turn or close to it and hit a small dip you will see what happens big time interference. Your throat your razor.

Everyone's experience is different. I'm at mid perch with gutted fenders and 37 Nittos on stock wheels and have done jumps and pretty agressive stuff and never rubbed.
