Was on a 600 mile round trip this weekend.
Around 200 miles in, every going fine until I stop for a few minutes, but leave the truck running.
As I'm entering the Fwy, the truck seems down on power, and shifting slight "sluggish". Then I notice that when I get on the gas, I can hear a "whooshing" sound, but not very loud, almost like the waste gate was leaking. I also notice my gas mileage goes way down, and the truck doesn't want to stay in 10th at 80mph, it's down shift so that it's not lugging down, no lights or anything strange on the dash.
I stop for gas, and shut the truck down, when I restart, it's showing a check engine light, and my Ford app says to check the manual, it points me to an emissions problem.
That goes away the next day, and truck runs fine, I put a friends code reader on it, and the only code is a PO369 Cam Phaser, but I think this is left over from when I had a Cam Phaser issue and had them done, about 10K miles ago.
Fast forward, I'm on my way home today, and again, around 200 miles in, it starts acting exactly the same way, down on power, and poor gas mileage.
About 30 miles from home, I get the Wrench light, and now I'm not building any boost, and the truck is very slow.
My Ford App says "powertrain malfunction/reduced power" And I now have the CEL and the wrench on my dash.
Anyone had anything like this?
Truck is 100% stock, no tune, or anything and has 43K miles on it.
