Strange Key

I found this key lying in the door card. At first I thought it was one of the inserts for the fobs but it wasn’t. It will unlock my doors but it seems strange to find it there and also seems redundant since my fobs have this as well. Is this key normally included with our trucks?

Mine was in the manual booklet, another purchase the salesman handed it to me with the keys.

Dumb question but it is just meant to unlock the door? I’ve never looked, can you start the vehicle with it?

Door, glovebox, etc. No you can’t start the vehicle with it.

It’s basically a last resort if you somehow lose your two fobs (which also contain physical keys). You at least have a key to access all the locks and make copies.
